In the third One-Day International (ODI) at the Rose Bowl, England recorded their biggest-ever victory over South Africa, making history.
England defeated the Proteas by 342 runs, the greatest margin of victory in the history of the 50-over format, after chasing a huge total of 415.
In addition to become England’s greatest-ever ODI victory, surpassing their 242-run victory against Australia in Nottingham in 2018, this victory also beats India’s previous record of a 317-run victory over Sri Lanka in 2023.
Thanks to brilliant performances from their top order, England, who batted first, scored an enormous total.
