EUPEX Workshop on ARM-Based Exascale Computing at HiPEAC 2026
On January 28, the EUPEX project will host a workshop titled “Preparing Applications and European Users to Efficiently Exploit Future ARM-Based Exascale Machines” at HiPEAC 2026 in Krakow.
EUPEX brings together academic and industrial partners to co-design a pilot system ready for exascale computing using European technologies. The project aims to help users and the HPC community effectively leverage ARM-based architectures, including next-generation processors such as SiPearl chips.
Why HiPEAC?
HiPEAC is one of Europe’s leading networks and conferences for high-performance and embedded computing. It provides a platform for collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange between academia and industry. Hosting the workshop here ensures maximum engagement with the European HPC community.
Workshop Goals
The session will focus on strategies to achieve efficient application performance on future ARM-based exascale systems. Key topics include:
- Porting applications to ARM architectures
- Profiling energy use and improving energy efficiency
- Optimisation techniques for high-performance workloads
Participants will also gain insight into the European HPC ecosystem and understand the broader context of the EUPEX project. The workshop highlights Europe’s commitment to technological sovereignty and sustainable HPC development.
Who Should Attend
The workshop is ideal for researchers, software developers, and HPC professionals. Attendees will learn tools, best practices, and hands-on approaches to optimise performance and energy efficiency on next-generation ARM systems.
Networking and Collaboration
Participants will have the opportunity to connect with experts, exchange ideas, and explore practical methods that support Europe’s transition to energy-efficient exascale computing.
