Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has unveiled a new schedule for the remaining ODIs between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Expressing his appreciation to the visiting team, Naqvi took to X, saying, “The spirit of sportsmanship and solidarity shines bright.”
According to the revised plan, the remaining matches will now take place on November 14 and 16 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, replacing the original dates of November 13 and 15.
This change comes after Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) confirmed the continuation of their Pakistan tour, following concerns triggered by Tuesday’s suicide bombing in Islamabad, which claimed 12 lives and injured 27 near a court.
SLC clarified that any player wishing to return home would be replaced after undergoing a formal assessment. The board emphasized that all players, support staff, and management must stay in Pakistan to ensure the series continues smoothly.
In the opening ODI, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by six runs in Rawalpindi.
