Hotel operators say this left gaps in availability and disrupted normal pricing patterns. FIFA has rejected these claims and does not agree with the criticism. Other factors behind weak demand Hotels say several issues are discouraging visitors. High ticket prices for matches are one concern. Expensive local transport and taxes are also adding pressure. Some operators also point to political tensions as another reason international travel interest has slowed. Economic outlook remains uncertain With lower bookings and mixed signals from ticket sales, the hospitality sector is now unsure about the World Cup’s overall economic benefit. At the French Open, the prize pool rose by 9.5 percent, which players argue is still below the share they believe they deserve from overall revenue. In contrast, the US Open increased its prize fund by 20 percent, while the Australian Open raised it by nearly 16 percent. Wimbledon is expected to announce its updated figures soon. Iga Swiatek said a boycott would be too extreme and emphasized the importance of communication with tournament organizers. This incident occurred in Maroubra in east Sydney where the police were performing routine checks. Detail of the incident New South Wales Police stated that they observed a van stop near the area of testing before approaching the vehicle's driver to administer a breathalyzer. A 39-year old man was identified as the driver who tested positive on the side of a road. The driver was taken to the Maroubra Police Station where he took a second blood test. This resulted in a reading of 0.104. The mid-range level is the legal limit for NSW's drink driving laws. This applies to those drivers who have a blood-alcohol concentration (BAC) between 0.08 and 0.149. The Court and Legal Action Warner was officially charged after the results of his test. He has been accused of having a mid-range prescribed alcohol concentration. The authorities confirmed that Warner is due to appear before a court in May. Warner's cricket career and current role David Warner is still active in the franchise game, even though he retired from international cricket 2024. He is currently the captain of Karachi Kings, a team in the Pakistan Super League.
